Robert “Bobo” Sheehan A standout athlete in his undergraduate days at Middlebury, he returned to his alma mater following service in World War II as a Naval Aviator to coach the ski teams at Middlebury. Many of the top skiers and coaches in the nation at the time got their start under the watchful eye of Bobo. Bobo went on to become the U.S. Olympic Coach for the Mens Alpine Ski Team during the 1956 Olympics in Cortina Italy. Bobo & Leslie Sheehan started Bobo’s Ski Shop in Reno Nevada in 1969. Today Bobo’s is owned and operated by the Sheehan and Weneta families, continuing in the traditions that began with Bobo & Leslie.
